The Personality and Emotion Research and Treatment (PERT) Laboratory within the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at the University of Mississippi Medical Center is a translational research laboratory combining basic experimental research on the mechanisms underlying personality pathology, posttraumatic stress disorder, and addictive and impulsive behaviors with treatment outcome research focused on the development of novel interventions to target these difficulties.
